Under New Management

Posted: April 15, 2011 in Uncategorized

The organization will be under new management and we would like YOU to be a part of it. There are five positions open: President, Vice President of Internal Affairs, Vice President of External Affairs, Vice President of Finance, and Vice President of Records. Any extra positions will be decided in the Fall.

Anyone running for a position must be an IU Bloomington student during the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters. They should also be on campus both semesters and not abroad. Those interested in the position of President must have come from the current Executive Board. No other special requirements exist for the rest of the positions.

The President is the official representative of FSA and is mainly in charge of running the Executive Board. The Vice President of Internal Affairs oversees the FSA membership. Someone in this position will welcome new members into the organization and make sure every member is kept up-to-date on FSA activities. The Vice President of External Affairs serves as our contact to those outside our organization including other Asian organizations on campus and other Filipino organizations outside the University. The Vice President of Finance is in charge of raising funds for events and keeping an accurate account of our finances. The Vice President of Records is the secretary of FSA and does creative work such as making posters to advertise events.

If you would like to run, send an email to fsa@indiana.edu by Friday, April 22, at 3:00pm with the position(s) you are interested in. Elections will be held that night.
